In the 1960s, Master Han Bong-gi was practicing under the name of 'Paline' at a temple in the mountains. While meditating, intermittently received revelations from the spirit realm and began practicing an unnamed martial art.
During the meditation practice, the monk received four numbers in front of each person from 3,000 sages. It is said that 12,000 numbers were passed on.

The characteristic of Won Hwa Do is that all techniques are structured to draw a circle. A vertical circle and a horizontal circle are the basic shapes, and the slope changes to draw a sphere.
The reason why it moves in a circle is because it has continuity and eternity, and it can be developed in all directions. You can't do it with straight movements.
The important conditions for this are shape (shape), direction (angle), distance (magnitude), and speed. In order to have this eternity, it becomes a circular motion.
If the technique of Won hwa do changes the circular movement, it can sometimes become a form like judo, or an expression like taekwondo or a form of aikido.
May 18, 1944.I was born in Osaka, Japan, and returned to Korea at the age of 5.
It is a family line of oriental medicine from generation to generation, and I was drafted into the military when I was in my 3rd year at the College of Oriental Medicine.
After completing his conscription, he graduated from college and also graduated from a seminary (Presbyterian Church).
Passed away on February 10, 2010.
Master Cho Ieic Hoon first met Bong-gi Han in 1972.
The first techniques I taught included articulation as the main subject of stick art.
Master Cho Ieic Hoon was amazed by the advanced articulation technique, and was impressed by his workmanship and entered the apprenticeship.
At this point in time, it was a martial art that had no name yet.At that time, it was self-proclaimed as 和術(hwa sul) or 圓和術(won hwa sul).
