Martial arts to know the earth
"Budo" to know the earth
The third of "Sanmu" is "martial arts" to know the earth. It is a martial art that knows the norms and excisions of what should be done and what should not be done.
There is also a solemn and orderly order in nature. There are no borders between animals of the earth, birds of the sky, and fish of the ocean. Only humans created borders with selfishness. Sadly, only humans repeat meaningless killings.
The spirit of "living for the sake of others" (public interest spirit) is a way for selfishness and altruism to coexist. The way to end the struggle that comes from one's selfishness and create peace is "martial arts to know the earth."
The original "Takeshi" character is a combination of the dagger-axe character and the foot character. It means that he stands proudly with a weapon, but in peaceful times, it has come to have the meaning of stopping the battle and governing it as the meaning of stopping the dagger-axe. Power itself is neither good nor evil. The "power" that hurt people becomes violence.
When there is unrighteousness or evil that disturbs peace, strict norms and order must be established. The ultimate purpose of martial arts training is not to kill and injure, but to create a "community to live together" for Aioi and harmony. You must not sacrifice others to protect your peace.
Through the training process of unification of mind and body, we will know the precious life of life and train the heart that respects the life of the one and only partner. A healthier body, a brighter and healthier mind is nourished. For goodness, true martial arts must be fearless and brave for righteousness.
The universe is a model for filial piety and loyalty, who love all things on Earth, love families, love the country and the world, and love peace. The true figure of a martial arts person who should be is a martial arts person who lives in justice as a completer of the way "Miko, Mai, Takeshi" of Sanmu "San 무".
There are five basic types of WonHwaDo in eight directions, and there are forty types in total. Not many in number compared to other common martial arts types. However, the number of applied actions is immeasurable. When you stand looking forward, the offense and defense that goes in the direction of the right half is "internal offense and defense", and the offense and defense that goes in the direction of the left half is "outside offense and defense". The offense and defense in the front is "front offense and defense", and the offense and defense in the back is "backside offense and defense". Each has a name in these eight directions. (See the figure above)
This basic type can be applied to practice immediately, but compared to the speedy type like other martial arts, WonHwaDo's The basic technique requires a soft movement of the circle and a sense of rhythm of WonHwaDo, and the training is especially focused on Tanda. At WonHwaDo , we place great importance on the training of "Ki", so we will fill the world of Ki and make Tanda full of Ki. Feel this ki. It is the mystery of WonHwaDo to go around Ki and start.
